PCCA Celebrates Graduates & Recognizes Community Leader

(Rogers, Ark.) – Providence Classical Christian Academy celebrated accomplishments of its seventh graduating class in a May 3 awards ceremony, and gifted the Mike Duke Christian Leadership Award to a respected community leader in Benton County.

Seven of PCCA’s 26 seniors received the Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship award, which pays up to $10,000 annually for four years. Recipients include Mason Bennett, Sarah Cooper, Byron Denham, Riley Fox, Adam Philip, Hope Smith and Nora Smith. Altogether, PCCA’s senior class received scholarship offers of $1,892,150 (and counting), and earned an average ACT score of 26.3.

PCCA headmaster Jason Ross also joined retired Wal-Mart CEO Mike Duke in presenting Rogers resident Dick Trammel with the school’s second annual Mike Duke Christian Leadership Award. Founded in 2017, the award recognizes an outstanding leader who has made a significant impact in Northwest Arkansas, as an extension of the school’s mission of Building Leaders for Christ.

“Mr. Trammel was chosen for his Christ-honoring example of tireless and joy-filled service to our community, which has fostered remarkable good will and growth across many segments of Northwest Arkansas,” Ross said. “He is an outstanding individual of strong character who consistently treats others with kindness and dignity. He epitomizes Christian leadership and his selfless service has advanced education, medical care, business, the faith community, children’s advocacy, and many other worthy ventures.”
