Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy – Volleyball Team Bi-District Champs

Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy (Legacy Prep) of The Woodlands, TX congratulates its varsity volleyball team on becoming Bi-District Champs for TAPPS 3A District 6. The Lady Lions, coached by Mollie Martinez, played San Antonio Christian Keystone Thursday night in the playoffs.

Founded in 2005, Legacy is comprised of grades pre-kindergarten through 12th. Legacy prepares students to be successful in college and life by providing a rigorous academic education that is rich in opportunities. Legacy is a University Model School certified by the University Model Schools International (UMSI), headquartered in Fort-Worth, Texas. Legacy is also accredited by AdvancEd.

According to Legacy Prep Athletic Director Clint McDonald, “Last night was a great win for our volleyball program. Coach Martinez has done a phenomenal job getting our girls ready all season and for last night. We are so proud of our girls and their efforts. It was a fun night and great to see a packed gym there to support our girls.”

Senior team member, Dallas Furber, stated, “The win was absolutely thrilling. The game was intense and full of excitement. No one gave up and the excitement radiated from the fans. This game showed our true potential as a united team.”

Stand out players Thursday night included Frankye Granack, Kylee Curl, and Amaya Harrell. Legacy Prep will face Round Rock Christian for Area Champs in Round Rock at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, October 30th.

Jenny was first introduced to the University-Model® in 2011 when she began teaching AP English at Christian Life Preparatory School in Fort Worth. Jenny joined UMSI in 2013 and currently serves as Communications Specialist. She enjoys working with schools in the academic arena as well as organizing training opportunities for school leaders and teachers. She enjoys spending time with her husband Donnie and their son, little Donnie, photography, making music, and traveling the world.
