Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Campus Administrator, the Logic School Principal is responsible for the direct supervision of the campus faculty and staff from 5th through 8th grade, the daily operations of the school and the implementation and enforcement of District policies and procedures as they relate to the Logic School. The Logic School Principal works with the campus faculty and staff, District employees, parents, and students to achieve a climate that fosters collaboration and academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment.

Compensation range: $50,000.000 to $54,000.00 (commensurate with education and experience).

Essential Job Functions:

Faculty and Staff

Recruit and mentor new and returning Logic School faculty and staff for approved positions to meet the needs of the school in collaboration with school administration.

Schedule Logic School classes and electives maximizing the utilization of instructor gifts and experience.

Ensure Logic School faculty/staff compliance with overall CDA and school (or campus) specific guidelines.

Assess faculty evaluations at the school (or campus) level:
Seek input from the Department Chairs for faculty evaluations & hires.
Seek input from the Director of Grammar/Logic Curriculum and the VP of Academic Affairs and the Campus Administrator regarding faculty evaluations and hires.

Identify and communicate professional development needs to the Campus Administrator and the VP of Academic Affairs for approval.

Admissions / Enrollment
Determine Logic School enrollment or reenrollment (within specified guidelines).

Engage in personal interviews with every Logic School student and family.

Support the transition to CDA for new Logic School families and students.

Participate in admission events at the school.

Families and Students

Plan and oversee Logic School Parent Orientation, Parent Tutorials, and other events to support parents in their role as the primary educators of their children.

Maintain communication of overall campus activities and directives to families of students within the Logic School.

Address academic, discipline or communication issues that arise within the Logic School families of students.

Ensure teachers are communicating daily assignments and scores to all families of students within the Logic School.

Oversee the Logic School faculty’s maintenance of the student academic records to facilitate the publishing of quarterly grade reports.

Place academic or discipline holds on Logic School student accounts that require further communication before reenrollment.

School Operations

Collaborate with the Campus Administrator, Human Resources, and the Admissions Director to determine what class sections to offer, when to add or close sections, and when to cancel elective offerings.

Develop Logic School faculty, staff, and student schedules to balance the financial stewardship responsibility of the school, the educational needs of the students, and the abilities and desires of the employees.

Assist in the development and maintain accountability of the Logic School portion of the annual budget for the campus.

Implement and enforce the requirements, policies and procedures designated to the appropriate handbooks.

Review and approve Logic School quarterly report cards.

Other duties as assigned by the Campus Administrator.


Ensure that the approved Logic School instructional programs (plan, scope and sequence, District assessments and goals) are fully implemented.

Encourage Logic School teachers to adopt and adhere to instructional programs.

Support Logic School faculty members and Department Chairs on campus.

Serve as a Teacher of Record for teachers of service, when applicable.


Maintain a Logic School calendar to communicate important school events.

Provide weekly communication to Logic School families to encourage a sense of community while providing important information about future events.

Ensure timely and effective communication with Logic School faculty and staff.

Attend monthly faculty meetings.

Address communication issues between Logic School faculty/staff and families.

Master’s degree, required.

Doctorate degree, preferred.

Five years of teaching experience.

One year or more of school administration or equivalent senior-level management experience, preferred.


Knowledge and adherence to the Christian faith.

Skilled in project management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Expertise in operating computers and computer programs to include the Microsoft Office Suite products, social media platforms, online content, and CDA systems.

Ability to work in an environment that supports direct communication, peer accountability, and collaborative decision making.

Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff, faculty, parents, board members, students, and vendors.

Ability to think and plan strategically and creatively.

Ability to supervise and manage multiple functions, activities, and personalities.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to motivate, influence and lead others.

Ability to attend a variety of school events outside of normal school hours.

Ability and desire to teach at least one class each school year.

Ability to visit several classes and activities in many venues throughout a school day.

Required to work some nights and weekends.

Required to manage moderate to high levels of stress.
Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak daily.

Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as keyboarding, writing, speaking, and reading.

Required to monitor students in a variety of locations, including those with noise, activities, and inside or outside in inclement weather.

Full-Time Benefits:

Tuition Benefit for Employee’s Child(ren):

Includes a waiver of the $1,250 new student(s) enrollment fee.

Five (5) One-Day Holidays: Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Labor Day.

Personal/Sick Leave:
Year One of Employment: 40 Hours
Second and Subsequent Years: 80 Hours

Master’s Reimbursement Program: Maximum reimbursement of 75% for tuition costs up to $20,000.
