Valor teachers are expected to use valid teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals and affect student learning, to integrate Biblical principles and a Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum, and to role-model a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ.
Art Teacher (PreK-8th): 3 days per week, MWF
*Helps Valor advance its vision to develop passionate disciples of Jesus who know the true, do the good, love the beautiful, and are prepared to courageously influence culture for the glory of God.
*Demonstrates a mastery and appreciation for the subject of Art
*Teaches three days a week of art classes to PreK-8th grade students while communicating a love for art and creativity as reflective in God, the ultimate Creator!
*Requires basic understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge normally acquired through attainment of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field; 3-5 years prior related experience preferred.
*Must be a Christian who is, and will remain during the period of employment, an active member of a Christ-centered church, growing in his/her Christian relationship with God, and actively practicing and exhibiting Christian principles of the Christian faith.
*Personally attuned to the requirements of meeting needs of the students and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, other employees, and the public; demonstrates the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.
We are also seeking an art teacher for 9th grade. We are open to combining these two positions, if that is preferable.
